HOMEWORK

In second grade, it is expected that your child reads

every night for at least 15 minutes.

They should also be practicing their math facts that we are practicing this month.

For the month of January, students should know:

* doubles facts

* adding 0 and 1 to a number

* doubles + 1

* doubles + 2

* adding 10 to a number

* subtracting all, 0 or 1

* +9

* Count ups

* What makes 10

* Adding 10 to what makes a number

December 22-January 4 - Holiday Break

January 7 - Starting chess club at recess

January 16 - End of Quarter 2

January 19 - No school - MLK Jr. Day and Teacher Workshop

February 13 - Early release

February 16 - No School - President's Day
